The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Combined MS/Dietetic Internship Program is completed in 35 credit hours which includes over 1200 supervised internship practice hours. The program is usually finished in 3 semesters and one summer. During the semesters, interns go to supervised practice rotation sites 3 days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) and to class two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). During the summer, interns complete a 12-week, full-time clinical experience in a hospital setting. Interns will be required to have a car, auto insurance, medical insurance and professional liability insurance coverage for the duration of the internship.
Upon completion of the 16-month program and all degree requirements, graduates will receive verification statement documenting completion of the internship requirements and will be eligible to sit for the registration exam to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN). In addition, program graduates will have completed and receive the Master of Science degree from the University.
The Combined KSU/Dietetic Internship Program does not award credit from previous experience(s) toward the total hours required for the internship.
