What is the eGlass?

What is the eGlass?

eGlass is an transparent writing surface with an integrated camera, allowing users to instruct, write, and draw, all while maintaining face-to-face contact with their audience, digital or in person.

How the eGlass Works

The user stands behind the illuminated glass board and writes using neon markers. The built-in camera, which is connected to a computer, records the instructor and their writing, automatically flipping the image so the text appears correctly to the viewer.

The board's UV lighting makes the marker in glow, ensuring notes are clear and easy to read. The eGlass also integrates into video conferencing or recording software such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and can even display presentations, or other graphics, allowing easy annotation.

Applications

The eGlass can be used in a variety of ways which can enhance the digital and in person learning experience:

Live Online and Hybrid Classes:

Deliver completely online instruction and presentations to remote students, while maintaining a personal connection.

Flipped Classroom Content:

Create engaging flipped classroom content with presentations, graphics, and hand written notes.

In-Person Instruction:

Project the eGlass camera feed onto any screen or projector, or cast through a digital connection, while still facing a class, rather than facing away from the class or blocking important content.
