After spending the first week of official practice focused on getting to know one another better on the court, as well as off the court during a two-night retreat, the Ƶ State volleyball team shifted their focus to helping out in the local community Saturday morning. Three Ƶ men's golfers, Ian Holt, Chase Johnson and Tyler McHugh, are competing in the 116th U.S. Amateur Championship at the Oakland Hills Country Club. The seven day USGA event runs from Aug. 15-21. Started in 1895, the tournament is the oldest USGA championship.
