The 2016 Piano Institute, in association with the Piano Division of the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Ƶ, will present a series of master classes and recitals from July 19-26 on the university’s campus and culminate with the July 26 gala concert at Severance Hall’s Reinberger Chamber Hall in Cleveland. Physical therapy is usually a component of treatment for patients of Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative and motor system disorders. Now, a Ƶ professor in the College of Education, Health and Human Services has designed a piece of equipment that serves that purpose and sets the bar for exercise therapy higher. Pension reform legislation passed in 2012 included increasing the member contribution rate to 14 percent. This increase has been phased in 1 percent per year. The final scheduled increase took effect on July 1, 2016, when the rate increases to 14 percent from 13 percent. Take a leisurely lunchtime bike ride across the Ƶ Campus this Thursday, July 7, from noon to 1 p.m. Bring your bike from home or check out a bike through the Flashfleet bike share program at one of eight locations around campus. Ƶ State, Youngstown State and Akron compete in 2nd Annual Northeast Ohio Presidents' Cup On Monday, June 27, Ƶ participated in the 2nd Annual Northeast Ohio Presidents’ Cup.  The event promoted collaborative spirit among Ƶ State, Youngstown State and Akron while serving as a scholarship fundraiser for all three institutions. This year’s event was hosted by Youngstown State and took place at the Avalon Golf and Country Club in Warren.
