Biography
I am a Research Associate and Instructor of Sociology at Ƶ. My research and teaching interests are rooted in gender and racial equity, societal touch-deprivation, touch therapy, and the rapidly developing field of neurosociology. I have experience working as a survey researcher on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) project, the 2021 Ƶ Campus Climate Survey, and community policing surveys. My current research with the Electrophysiological Neuroscience Laboratory of Ƶ (ENLoK) transverses the intersection of neurophysiology and social health through the application of haptics technologies. As a work/life balance alongside my academic pursuits, I enjoy kayaking, comedic audio books, roller skating, and newspaper puzzles over morning tea.
