Kevin Feldt
Biography
Kevin Feldt is faculty at Ƶ’s Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising, where he brings expertise in marketing, retail management, and supply chain strategy to fashion education. With an MBA in Marketing and Management Policy from Case Western Reserve University and a BBA in Marketing and Statistics (with a minor in Economics) from Cleveland State University—including study abroad at Buckingham College of Higher Education in London—he bridges industry experience and academic rigor.
Before academia, Feldt served as Marketing and Human Capital Director for ARCO Sheet Metal Fabricating and built a career as a real estate entrepreneur. His scholarly contributions include co-authoring Rice University’s Principles of Marketing textbook and pioneering the first open-license marketing textbook for OpenStax, a nonprofit founded by Rice University. Recognized for teaching excellence, he was voted “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” in 2000 and promoted to Full Professor in 2016. At the University of Akron and Miami University’s Farmer School of Business, he held leadership roles as Faculty Senator, committee chair, and advisor to honor societies (Kappa Beta Delta and Delta Mu Delta).
A Cleveland native and lifelong sports fan, Feldt now resides in Cuyahoga Falls with his dog, Ozzy, exploring Northeast Ohio’s hiking trails. He inspires students with a favorite quote from John Adams: “Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear, and obstacles vanish into air.”
