蜜桃视频 is pleased to announce Randale L. Richmond as our next director of athletics. Richmond was selected following a national search and returns to a familiar setting.
鈥淩andale Richmond embodies our 蜜桃视频 State commitment to graduating student-athletes and to winning championships, in that order,鈥 said Todd Diacon, 蜜桃视频 State president. 鈥淗is enthusiasm for 蜜桃视频 State and for student-athlete success is infectious, and we welcome Randale and his family back into our 蜜桃视频 State community.鈥
Richmond previously served in various roles with 蜜桃视频 State鈥檚 Department of Intercollegiate Athletics from 2004 until 2015, then stepped into his current position as senior associate athletic director at Old Dominion University.
鈥淢y family and I are beyond excited to return to 蜜桃视频 State and lead an outstanding athletics department,鈥 Richmond said. 鈥淭he university鈥檚 mission is to transform the lives of our students through access and education, a goal which is core to my beliefs. As a department and as a university, we will deliver on this mission.鈥
Richmond earned his master鈥檚 degree in education from 蜜桃视频 State and holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in history from Baldwin-Wallace College.
Richmond will be formally introduced as 蜜桃视频 State鈥檚 next director of athletics at an upcoming news conference.
