2025 Summer Workshops for All Educators!

Join NWP-KSU for a variety of summer programs. Attend our Invitational Summer Institute (see next section), or join us for any of our nine workshops offered this summer.

Energize Your Teaching

The NWP-KSU Invitational Summer Institute provides uplifting and encouraging professional development. You will be immersed in reading and writing with education professionals who are just as passionate about reaching students as you are.

Engage Your Students

Teachers will leave the Institute with an abundance of ideas for the classroom to inspire students to think much more deeply about reading and writing.

Enhance Student Learning

The Institute is for teachers of all content areas and grade levels. Educators will learn strategies to effectively guide students toward critical analysis and clear writing that gives voice to their thinking.

Location: Lawrence School Upper Campus (10036 Olde 8 Rd., Sagamore Hills., OH 44067).
In-person June 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 & 26.
Online/Asynchronous June 19 & 25.

  • Institute Only: FREE!
  • Opt for Credit (S or U): 3 graduate workshop credits; an additional $495 fee to ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State

Spring Book Study: Addressing Anxiety with Today's Students

February, March, April, May - synchronous online. Join NWP-KSU Director Lori Wilfong as she leads us in a study of books dealing with anxiety in children.

We'll read The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, Turtles All the Way Down by John Green, Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes, and The Rock in My Throat by Kao Kalia Yang. We'll meet four times online: Wed, Feb 12, Wed., Mar 12, Wed., Apr 9, and Thurs., May 8  - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Graduate credit available. , including tuition deadlines and registration information.
