The Stories Connecting Generations exhibit features 23 projects from the namesake class that pairs sociology and visual communication design students with an older adult partner, usually a resident of an area senior center, who they build a relationship with throughout the semester. A literature professor from Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea, is wrapping up a year as a visiting scholar at Ƶ with hopes of creating an exchange program between the two schools based on their historic campus tragedies. Angelina DiFranco started dancing when she was just three years old and wearing a diaper under her leotard. “I was terrified of my dance teacher,” DiFranco joked. "No, she's great." She got her start at Starship Dance Studio in Guilford, Connecticut, about 90 miles from Lincoln Center in New York City. She knew she wanted to be a professional dancer when she got ‘en pointe’ at 10 years old.
