The Student Nurses’ Association at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Trumbull is teaming up with Trumbull Memorial Hospital to teach new parents safe sleeping habits for their infants. The student nurses presented the hospital with more than a dozen "safe sleep sacks" to use on babies and model how to put them in cribs without blankets, bumpers and toys. Over the last year, ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Trumbull and its nursing faculty have focused on ways they could promote sleep safety in an effort to reduce the region’s infant mortality rate (IMR).
