On the Matter of Lives

On Wednesday, Feb. 8, ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ at Trumbull will host a "On the Matter of Lives," a community discussion about the issues associated with both Black Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter campaigns. ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Police Officer Featured in Video

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Police Services Officer Tricia Knoles is featured in a video promoting a new training program for police officers in Ohio. The course, titled Blue Courage, is sponsored by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Knoles was one of three law enforcement individuals from Ohio selected to appear in the video.  The 16-hour Blue Courage training teaches officers resilience, health and positive psychology along with the nobility of policing, respecting the community and community policing. All of these topics aim to help make the individuals well-rounded officer...

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Police Recognized for Excellence, Earns Reaccreditation

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Police Department was recently reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The recognition comes after a comprehensive review of the agency and marks the eighth time the department has received the accreditation award. For the fifth time, the department also received the designation of Advanced Law Enforcement Accreditation with Excellence. The designation is given to select agencies to recognize their effective use of accreditation as a model for the delivery of enhanced public safety services and management professionalism....
