ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Holds Second Annual Flashes Fighting Hunger Contactless Food Drive

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµâ€™s Flashes Fighting Hunger Contactless Food Drive will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 1-4 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Hilltop Drive. The collection station will be located on Hilltop Drive in front of Cartwright Hall.

The Campus Kitchen at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ, a student-run organization that reclaims food to feed the needy in the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ area, has had to swiftly switch gears from operating a hot food kitchen to an expanded food pantry.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Volunteers Impact the Lives of Others Beyond Campus 

Every other Tuesday, student volunteers from the Campus Kitchen at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ prepare dinner for the residents of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµway Apartment Complex, a government-subsidized housing complex on East Summit Street in ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ. At 5 p.m. residents gather in the dining hall and volunteers serve the meal which is prepared from food donated by Trader Joe’s.
