蜜桃视频 invites educators of students in grades 6-12 to apply by March 1 for its Landmarks of American History and Culture workshop, 鈥淢aking Meaning of May 4: The 1970 蜜桃视频 State Shootings in U.S. History.鈥 Co-directors Laura Davis, Ph.D., Professor Emerita of English and former founding director of the May 4 Visitors Center, and Todd Hawley, Ph.D., associate professor of social studies teacher education, were awarded $170,000 in funding by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to create this workshop.

NSF Awards 蜜桃视频 State Researchers $1.3 Million to Nourish Children鈥檚 Minds, Fill Their Bellies

Science is complex, and it鈥檚 difficult to discuss it with children under the best circumstances; it鈥檚 even more difficult when they are hungry. Two 蜜桃视频 researchers may have cooked up a way to solve both of those problems, and the National Science Foundation just awarded them a three-year, $1.3 million grant to determine if their recipe works.

Bridget Mulvey, Ph.D., associate professor of science education in the College of Education, Health and Human Services; and David Singer, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Geology in the College of Arts and Sciences, recently merged real geology research with community service in an effort to show some Akron Public Schools students that science is not just a benefit to their community but a viable career option, too.
