From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, different countries, cities and communities around the world – including the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ community – have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. As ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State’s population of Hispanic and Latino students continues to grow each year, students, faculty, organizations and departments are taking the time to acknowledge the month through a series of discussion, events, dancing and even theatrical plays.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ alumnus Andre Knott’s experience in journalism ranges from sideline reporting for the Cleveland Browns to telecasts for the Cleveland Indians on SportsTime Ohio to covering Cleveland sports on the radio. Now, he joins WJW FOX 8 as a new contributor to the station’s sports team. He will provide reports, features and live coverage of Cleveland sports on all FOX 8 platforms while he continues his Cleveland Indians broadcast work at SportsTime Ohio.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Graduate Taylor Pendrith, ‘14, earned the Canada Life Candian Player of the Year honors on the Mackenzie Tour -- PGA TOUR Canada on Sunday, Sept. 15. This is Pendrith’s second time receiving the honor in the past four years.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ fight song blared down Main Street, the city of ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State pride.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Geauga Campus is a rigorous academic environment that requires serious discipline, study, practice, and testing. It’s also an intimate environment of friends, instructors, and mentors who support each other from one challenge to the next, and inspire one another to reach out for the benefit of others. As a student association, they give back to the community through fundraising, strengthening the nursing program for future students and charitable outreach throughout the region.
