Making ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State a Family Tradition

Kendra Minichello has just begun her sophomore year at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State. Her mother, Stacie Minichello graduated from the university in 1995. Over the summer, Kendra and Stacie were happy to answer questions about their ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State experiences and share how attending ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State is a tradition in their family.

Anne Ritts: A Fierce Female in Finance

Senior finance student Anne Ritts has built an outstanding resume during her time at ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State, but with a full-time job already lined up for her after graduation, she will not have to worry about updating it any time soon. In her first three years here, Ritts has maintained membership in multiple finance organizations and a sorority, studied abroad, changed her major, and held multiple internships. Ritts’ next adventure will begin this summer in her career with PNC Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Anti-Racism Training for Students: How Students Can Get Involved

The Division for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion offers anti-racism training on ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State’s campus, which consists of a series of sessions that include anti-racism workshops, Cultural Competency Basics & Awareness, Understanding Unconscious Bias, Leadership, Mindset & Care, Learning How to Be an Ally, and various additional topics on equity, inclusion, microaggressions and diversity.

Alumnus Andrew Konya, '10, graduated from ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ with a degree in physics and started chiseling away at what is now his company, Remesh, in 2013. Remesh, has gone on to receive  to continue expanding and creating solutions.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ psychology major Tanner Noble has been struggling with cancer for five of his last six years, but things changed dramatically for him with the approved use of a new treatment for teenagers and adults.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Geauga Students Dominate 2020 Writing Awards

Five students from ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ at Geauga distinguished themselves as writing award winners during Spring Semester 2020. Each was a student of Bonnie Shaker, Ph.D., assistant professor of English. While ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ State Geauga students have won a total of 16 awards from 2014 through 2020 in different categories, five winners in one year is a notable achievement.
