Fueled by resilience and a hunger to learn, 2019 ������Ƶ graduate Ya’el Courtney has transformed adversity into ambition, carving a path for herself that took her from foster care to post-doctoral scholar at Stanford University.

The skies are calling once again, and ������Ƶ’s Flying Flashes are answering, this time with their sights set on a fourth consecutive intercollegiate victory in the Areaseir Race Classic.

Elisa Grecar and her daughter Maddie McGee made a meaningful memory this May when they graduated together from ������Ƶ – Grecar with a degree in psychology and McGee with a degree in zoology.

As a doctoral student of sociology, Adedayo Adeagbo is doing her research on dignity care for aging people using advancements of technology in healthcare. With a specialization in medical sociology, Adeagbo’s thesis is built on the perceptions and attitudes of healthcare workers and the use of robots for caring for older adults.

What began as a senior capstone project for aerospace engineering students at ������Ƶ has grown into a full-fledged student organization preparing to take flight in a national competition.

As part of  ������Ƶ State’s 55-Year Commemoration of May 4, 1970, Mahli Mechenbier, a senior lecturer at ������Ƶ at Geauga's Twinsburg Academic Center will present “Operation: Babylift: A 50-Year Retrospective and Personal History” on May 3 at 1 p.m. with her father, retired Maj. General Ed Mechenbier. Mahli Mechenbier was one of the children from Vietnam the U.S. Government brought to the United States for adoption by American families by  after Saigon was overun by advancing Viet Cong troops in 1972.
