Brandon Bell, a graduate in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State's Class of 2023, sang "Lift Every Voice and Sing" to open ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration event "Dialogue and Difference: a New Understanding MLK and Me" in the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Student Center Ballroom. The event was presented as a conversation over lunch centering on King's guiding principles of living a life of love and peace during times of conflict.
Bell is an Americorps Vista representative, working in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State's Office of University Outreach and Engagement. He was accompanied on piano by John Beavers, a graduate student studying public administration in ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State's College of Arts and Sciences.
