For the second straight year, the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ baseball team has been crowned the outright Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season champions, a feat now accomplished 14 times in program history.

The No. 12 ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ men’s golf team has booked its ticket to the 2017 NCAA National Championship with a second-place finish at the Washington Regional at 3-over par 855 (287-282-286).

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ senior  tossed a three-hitter and hit a two-run homer in the first inning to lead No. 4 ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State past No. 2 Ohio, 3-0, in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament Championship game. The performance by Ladines capped a sensational week in which she earned MAC Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

The No. 15 ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ women’s golf team has qualified for the 2017 NCAA National Championship after finishing the NCAA Lubbock Regional in sixth place at 11-over par 875 (305-287-283).

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State entered the day tied with No. 2 UCLA in sixth place but held its ground and fought off a tough battle from Oregon State. The Beavers shot 10-under par Wednesday and briefly moved ahead of the Golden Flashes, but ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State recorded five birdies as a team over the final six holes, despite some late winds, to secure a two-stroke lead in sixth.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ celebrated its newest graduates at its Spring 2017 Commencement ceremonies. In total, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State were conferred 5,636 degrees, including 992 associate degrees, 3,319 bachelor’s degrees, 1,139 master’s degrees, 181 doctoral degrees and five educational specialist degrees.

University Libraries will provide opportunities for ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ students to shake off stress during finals week.

University Libraries will hold its semiannual Stress-Free Zone on Monday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 9, from 3-5 p.m. in the Garden Room on the first floor of University Library. The event is open to all ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State students, faculty and staff.

The No. 12 ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ men’s golf team won its 24th Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship on April 30 at the Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State Golden Flashes finished the four-round tournament with a score of 3-under par 1,149 (287-288-285-289), breaking its own four-round tournament record for team score. ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ State won the tournament by 25 strokes, defeating second-place Ball State at 22-over par.
