Kindness Rocks at the Women's Center

Coming out of the summer of 2022, Cassandra Pegg-Kirby, director of the 蜜桃视频 State Women鈥檚 Center, felt what she called 鈥渁 heaviness鈥 as people came out of COVID-19 isolation with feelings of wanting to reconnect with other people but 鈥渕aybe weren鈥檛 quite sure how to do it anymore.鈥漇he wanted to figure out a way to do something positive, to bring people together. Request counseling for a range of concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, burnout, substance use, trauma, sexual identity and more. Scheduled and drop-in sessions are available, and referrals are made as needed.

Overall Well-Being Resources and Support


Become familiar with specialized resources aimed at providing relief for challenges that may not look like a traditional or commonly known mental health concern. Your well-being is a combination of physical, mental, emotional and social health factors that, when prioritized and addressed, contribute to feelings of happiness and life satisfaction.

Block 2

Counseling Center

Schedule individual counseling services if you feel alone or feel like no one can help. Counseling is provided by graduate students (licensed or nearing licensure) supervised by licensed, professional clinical counselors.

Counseling services are in White Hall, Room 325.

These services are free for all 蜜桃视频 State students and employees.

Students, employees and the broader community are welcome to access mental health support at one of many locations on the 蜜桃视频 Campus. The following services are free for 蜜桃视频 State students and are either free or charge a nominal fee for university employees and community members.

Block 1

Assessment

Request a consultation with a CAPS clinician to determine if psychological testing is clinically appropriate for you. Testing is available for ADHD, learning disorders, cognitive functioning, personality or substance use concerns.

Consultation is a covered service, while testing is billed to insurance or paid by the student.

CAPS

1. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS is in Van Campen Hall, offering in-person and telehealth services.    

Students can schedule a CAPS consultation with a licensed clinician to develop a personalized plan to address mental health concerns. The plan will include a variety of services, many of which are covered by student fees and outlined below.
