The CARES Center, which stands for Crisis, Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Support, has been serving as a vital resource hub for students facing various challenges since its inception in April 2021.

The League of Women Voters of Ohio made ������Ƶ State the final stop on their tour of more than 20 Ohio colleges and universities. The group, including Eco the puppy, worked to get students registered to vote in advance of the Oct. 7 registration deadline. 

Sponsored by the ������Ƶ State Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s most prestigious alumni honors. The 2024 Alumni Award recipients include seven alumni, two recent graduates, one staff member and one current student.

Students, faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to take the “Our Voices Count” Engagement and Well-Being Survey by the Oct. 20 deadline.

A ������Ƶ State alumnus who has been visiting Ohio colleges and universities in a pre-election tour by the League of Women Voters of Ohio says he's excited to see that student voters are interested and engaged in the election process. 

Fifty years ago, ������Ƶ Distinguished Professor Owen Lovejoy, Ph.D., was among the very first researchers to study the remains of the famous “Lucy” (Australopithecus afarensis), a 3-million-year-old fossil that had recently been discovered by paleoanthropologist Donald Johanson in Hadar, Ethiopia.

������Ƶ has entered into an agreement with the Turkmenistan Ministry of Education to begin exploring the possibility of creating an educational partnership with several national institutes of higher learning there. The effort is part of ������Ƶ State’s ongoing commitment to using education to foster global understanding and peace in a divided world.

As part of ������Ƶ State's ������Ƶ State Votes initiative, Flashes across campus are stepping up to help make sure that students are registered to vote, well informed and motivated to cast their ballots in November. 

For Taylor Pierce, her first experience in ������Ƶ State’s Columbus Program in State Issues turned out to be more than most people would expect. She spontaneously entered and won a contest. She met Ohio’s governor and lieutenant governor. And, she considered a new career path. Not bad for a few weeks in a new city.
